Hello
Friends,
Friends,
Here I am sharing my experience of
attending a theater workshop.
Here is Facebook page of Rangayan Theater
I have
participated in the "Theater workshop Rangayan" organized by Gujarat
State Sangit Natak Academy, from 09/07/2014 to 13/07/2014 at Ahmadabad.
The chairmen of Gujarat state sangit Natak Academy was Yogesh Gadhvi.
This workshop was inaugurated by the chairman of academy Yogesh Gadhvi and
other members of Rangayan Natyagruh.
During my graduation I have performed many dramas like... "Sampetaru", "Kuwo Chorai gyo che" and "Vastravaran " written by Manubhai
Pancholi. The Selection of this theater workshop was based on experience of
drama and the number of plays a student has performed. Three students have been
selected for this workshop from Lokbharti Mahavidhyalai Sanosara,
1) Sahdev Updala
2) Vishal Solanki
3) Virajee Bathvar
There were many participants with us from Bhavnagar and some of them were, Shaktishih Parmar, Rambhai Mori (Short story write), and other students. There were many great persons who taught us many things during this workshop but among those I have written about few personalities.

Raghubirbhai Yadav:
Raghubirbhai Yadav is a film, stage and television actor, music composer, and
singer and set designer. He taught us the meaning of acting? And in his session
he sung a song also. When we performed the role of any characters that
time we have to involve our self in that characters.
Kabir Thakor:
Kabir Thakor is theater director he has directed many plays. During this workshop He was our guide. There were 80 to 100 participants who belong to different districts or states. In the beginning of this workshop, he has given some basic instructions about workshop and the schedule of these five days. We have 2 or 3 sessions in a day. We performed many dramas during this workshop and we have seen many dramas at Rangyan Theater. like "ઘૃણાત કામલે આપઘાત કરે છે" and many other based on condition of farmer and poor people.

Ashish Kakkad:
Ashish kakkad is an artist,
writer, actor and director. He is the director of Gujarati Movie "Better
half". He taught us how many things are important while we performing the
play like music, sound effect, lighting effect, use of stage, casting and many other
things. Which helped me to understand the basic structure of play and how to
use all these skills while we performing on the stage.
Sanjai Goradia:
He is an actor
and producer. He is known for his comic role in Gujrati plays. He taught us to
link between actor and spectators. We know that his plays are full of comedy
and people must watch it.
Vishal Shah:
He is good actor
and he performed many dramas, one of them which I like most is "કાળુ એટલે અંધારું ". Recently he performed drama at Yashvant Rai Natayagruh, Bhavnagar. He was with us during this workshop to guide
us.
What I
have learnt:
Before attending that workshop, I did't know many things about drama and all
that things I learnt there. I am glad that I got an experience of that workshop
when I was studying the forms of drama.
So, this workshop was very useful for me to develop my understanding about
drama. So thank you to Sangit Natak
Academy and Lokbharti Lokseva
Mahavidhyalay Sanosara for giving me an opportunity, especially I would
like to thank my professor Vishal Joshi who helped me a lot in this workshop.
