- R.K.Singh.
In this research paper R.K.Singh describe the importance of English in Indian is a potential national resource. It is important to develop tolerance and positive attitude toward English. Practical approach can be adopted in the area of its teaching by making it more need based flexible and innovative.
English has been adopted and firmly established as a link language by our national leaders during and after the independence.
Now a day about 750 million people around the world use it either as a first or second language.
According to professor Kachru "The number of English speaker has doubled in the past three decades, and English is first choise for second language learners in many countries.
R.K.Singh has given three aims to teach well.
1) encourage a teaching programme that is responsible to their specific needs.
2) Pursue such teaching activities from which pupils know that are learning something useful.
3) Adopt a flexible learning approach.
At the end of research paper he concluded with teaching English should be seen as an opportunity to explore and understand to question and argue, to learn and to retain something new, something different via language.
