Mourning Becomes Electra

  Mourning Becomes Electra is play written by American playwright  Eugene O'Neil. It is divided into three parts as under,

   1)Homecoming.                      
   2)The hunted.                      
   3)The haunted.                

    There are some major characters in the play like
 Ezra Manon                      
Christine Mannon,
Lavinia Mannon
Orin Mannon

       This play dealing with Electra complex. There are very inter vowen relationship between characters. It is retelling of Greek tragedy. Both are attracted to opposite sex. The story repeated from the Greek into English.

     So, in this play characters are representative of Electra complex and Oedipus complex. In the end both sister and brother are living with each other as they are the reflection of their parents. At the end of the play All characters die so we can say that is a Greek tragedy.
