literature and Society

   We all know that Literature Mirrors society. What happens in a Society is reflected in literary works in one form or another. The literal meaning of Literature is the art of written work in different forms, such as Poetry, Plays, Stories , prose function etc. It may also consist of text based on information as well as Imagination.

   
     A Society is a group of people related to each other through their contineous and uninterrupted relations. It is also a group of like minded people largely governed by their ow n norms and values. Human Society, it is observed is characterized by the patterns of relationship between individuals who share cultures, traditions, beliefs and value etc.

       Literature is a social institution.
Literature represents life and life is connected with a number of social function.

               We studied in history than In England older literature reflecting higher society. In our indian literature also in old days poet write about king. But now a days things going to change, literature written on any topic or person. But point is that we can see the reflection of society in that literature so these both the things are interrelated, we can't make it separate.
