Doctor Faustus

     The play Doctor Faustus is written by ChristopherMarlowe. The Original title of the play is "Tragic History of life and death of Doctor Faustus". It is story of German scholar Faustus. There are many characters in the plays us under,

    Doctor Faustus,
    Mephastophilis,
    Old Man,
    Good Angel/Bad Angel,
    Lucifer,  
    The Scholars,
    Wagner.

       Dr. Faustus is a protagonist of the play.He is more ambitious to get knowledge. He want to get new type of knowledge.And then that  knowledge proofed curse for him, he can't able to save himself in the end.He sold his soul to the devil under the contract by which he will receive twenty four years of  service from the Mephistopheles and he enjoys those years and during those years he committed many sins and because of those all things at the end of the time Lucifer come and took the soul of Dr. Faustus. He can't do anything against those devils. Thus, for Doctor Faustus knowledge become curse.
