Oliver Twist

Charles Dickens is great novelist. He wrote many novels and Oliver Twist is one of them. Oliver twist is a child hero in the novel. We can see the life progress of Oliver in the novel.

If we think about the background of the novel, so it is about orphan child. How his life goes on? That discription we can see in the novel. His mother die after his birth and no one knows the name of his mother. There are some main characters in the novel as under, oliver Twist, Fagin, Nancy, Rose Maylie, Mr. Brownlow,Monks
Bill Sikes etc.

There are some main themes of the novel are poverty, industrialism, child labour, crime etc. So, in this novel we can see the life story of orphan child how he suffers in the society. There is one famous sentence of the novel spoken by Oliver " I want some more". In the novel there is one character Fagin, he was the Master of pick pocketing gang of children. At the end of the novel we find that Oliver adopted by Mr.Brownlow and he live happily.

Thus, it is a satire on the age when industrial revolution happened in 19th century.

Thank you.
